Happy New Year! Here are some new things that 2013 brought my way.

I bought a brand-new guitar.

I spent an afternoon on Bernal Hill filming a music video. (Don’t blink at 2:11.) Oh, and I filmed another music video and actually got to sing backup this time.

I went to Asia for the first time and took lots of photos: Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3.

I hiked in gorgeous Northern California with some really special friends.

I served on a jury for the first time in my life.

I flew to Orange County for work–just for a day.

I joined a cheese club and even toured the farm where my cheese is made!

I discovered the magic of a curling wand.

Chip and I became Bocce champions.

I got new ink.

I toured Alcatraz for the first and second time.

I bonfired on the beach with wonderful friends.

I revisited my first race.

I said goodbye to one of my favorites (but thankfully have seen lots of her since she moved away).

Mom visited SF and we had a blast.

I found my new favorite coffee spot.

I did a lot of karaoke, including July 4th karaoke.

I celebrated five years with this guy.

I had a super fun trip to Chicago where my college roomie and I attended the best concert ever.

My scavenger hunt team came in second. We’ll get ’em next year!

I visited Portland for the first time and attended the 10-year (10-YEAR) anniversary show of Death Cab for Cutie’s Transatlanticism.

I started a the nine-month Newbigin Fellowship program.

I bought a record player!

I celebrated this guy’s birthday at Disneyland.

I toured AT&T Park (home of the SF Giants).

An unexpected trip home turned into a sweet family time.

I went to St. Louis for work where I played on the biggest playground and saw the Cards win the playoffs.

I toured the Jelly Belly factory with my in-laws. (We did other cool stuff, too.)

I had a great trip to South Carolina for Thanksgiving.

I celebrated my birthday in NYC with lots of awesome friends.

I celebrated Christmas Eve with singing and Christmas Day with friends.

I rang in the new year with some of my favorites.

And just a few of the concerts I went to (favorites bolded):

Ra Ra Riot
Thao and the Get Down Stay Down (among other Noise Pop bands)
